Objectives:

The cell looks after the capacity building aspects for implementation of Watershed Development Programmes (WDP) for different stakeholders at SIPRD as well as in districts.

Functions:

1. The cell conducts training programmes  for WDP at SIPRD for the Executive Officer(s), Savapati(s) and Karmadhakshya(s) of Krishi- Sech-O- Samabay Sthayee Samiti concerned.

 

2. The cell provides assistance for the preparation of training module and resource person(s) for conducting training at district level for different stakeholders in natural resource management.

3. The Cell is looking after the WDP in the institute also undertake several field visits for monitoring and on the spot orientation of the personnel associated with the implementation of the programme.

4. The Cell has submitted a proposal for the monitoring and evaluation study for two projects in West Bengal (one IWDP and other DPAP) in WDP to the Department of Land Resources, MoRD, GoI.
